About Anne

Anne Sluman is the owner and lead designer of Refined Staging & Interiors. Anne's love of design, decorating, colour and her attention to detail make her a valuable asset to any home staging or design project.

Anne actually left the industry for many years, for several different reasons. Other priorities came along - marriage, buying a house and starting a family. At the time she needed more consistency and stability, so by fluke, ended up getting into accounting. Talk about going in a different direction!

​

Anne worked for a global hearing aid manufacturer for 10 years! She learned a lot, met some great people and made lifelong friends and loved the fact that they were helping people with their hearing loss! During this time she continued to work part-time doing decorating and staging projects for family and friends.

Back to her roots

A few years ago she and her husband thought about moving. It was during the process of seeing houses with their realtor that Anne's interest and passion for design, decorating and home staging was reignited!  Anne knew she needed to make a change or would regret it for the rest of her life.

​

Anne quit her job to start her own business and focus on it full time! It has been a crazy adventure, but Anne is so excited and motivated to help her clients love their home!

      

Background

Anne graduated with a diploma from the Interior Design program at Sheridan College and has earned the Accredited Staging Professional™ (ASP®) designation.  She has experience working for furniture, fabric and home décor stores and has also worked with award-winning designer, Jane Lockhart.

Up close & personal

When Anne is not working on staging or design projects, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys singing (soprano) and creating floral arrangements at the church she belongs to, golfing (not often enough) and spending time at the family cottage in Muskoka.

Anne loves being near the water, coastal inspired interiors, classic design and the colour blue!
